Our story

A family-run electrical practice, now in its second generation.

Founded by Logan Naidu in 1988 and re-registered as KPD Power (Pty) Ltd in 2023, we've spent nearly four decades wiring up South Africa — from hospitals in the Eastern Cape to shopping centres in KwaZulu-Natal.

Under second-generation leadership we're expanding that legacy into solar generation, battery storage and specialist systems — keeping the same hands-on, owner-accountable approach that built the business.

  • 1988 Founded in Durban by Logan Naidu as an electrical contracting sole trader.
  • 2000s Expansion into specialist healthcare, retail and industrial LV projects across KZN and the Eastern Cape.
  • 2020 Solar generation and battery-storage division launched — serving residential, commercial and industrial clients across South Africa.
  • 2023 Re-registered as KPD Power (Pty) Ltd (CIPC 2023/249236/07) under second-generation leadership.
  • 2024 Awarded ISO 9001:2015 quality-management certification.
